Research institutes
The Faculty of Law is present in the following research institutes at the University of Zaragoza:
-University Institute of Environmental Science Research in Aragon (IUCA)
The IUCA was founded in 2008 by order of the Government of Aragon with the main aim of promoting new research excellence initiatives and internationalization for better knowledge and progress in all environmental sciences.
The IUCA is organized into five working areas: Biomedicine, Chemical Science and Technology, Legal and economic area, Heritage and Territory.
Its aims include the promotion of research excellence and quality in Environmental Sciences; taking advantage of the multidisciplinary nature and synergies between groups in the areas that make up the IUCA; the provision of solutions and collaboration in resolving scientific and technical needs for environmental protection and sustainable development; cooperation with public and private companies; or the establishment of international research networks with a leaning towards Europe, America and countries of the Mediterranean arc.
-University Institute for Research into Heritage and Humanities (IPH)
The IPH is a research institute at the University of Zaragoza created with the support of the Government of Aragon. It promotes scientific excellence by facilitating the recruitment of prestigious researchers, experts in heritage and humanities, and enabling the implementation of multidisciplinary research projects that generate new knowledge and help solve specific problems and challenges in our society. Its dual strategy is based on both research activity excellence and promoting the transfer of research results. The Institute is organized into four areas: Art, History, Philology and Heritage.
